1ST DAY: ARRIVAL / WARSAW
Arrival to the Warsaw airport. Meeting with a guide
/ tour leader and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation.
Lunch in a restaurant. In the afternoon - guided tour
of Warsaw. Panoramic bus ride of the city and walk through
the Old Town: the Royal Castle, the Sismund's Column,
the St. John's Cathedral, St. Ana's church. Welcome dinner
with Chopin music and night in the hotel.
2ND DAY: WARSAW / WROCLAW
Breakfast in the hotel. Visit to the palace in Wilanow
- the residence of the king John III Sobieski and the
Lazienki Park (with neoclassical residences like the famous
Palace on the Water). Lunch in a restaurant. Departure
Wroclaw. In the evening accommodation and dinner in a
3RD DAY: WROCLAW / KRAKOW
Breakfast in the hotel. Guided tour of the Old Town
with marvelous gothic churches, the university with famous
baroque Aula Leopoldina, gothic Town Hall, Hala Ludowa
(the Centennial Hall) - one of the thirteen historical
monuments of Poland registered on the UNESCO World Heritage
List. Lunch in a restaurant. In the afternoon - departure
to Krakow. Arrival, accommodation and dinner in a hotel.
4TH DAY: KRAKOW / WIELICZKA / KRAKOW
Breakfast in the hotel. Guided tour of Krakow: the Wawel
Castle: the Cathedral, the Royal Castle - former residence
of Polish kings, the Market Square, the Cloth Hall (Sukiennice),
the Basilica of St. Mary (Veit Stoss' altar), Collegium
Maius (the oldest building of the Jagiellonian University),
St. Florian's gate (part of the city fortifications) and
Barbicane (an impressive fortress). Lunch in a restaurant.
Tour of Wieliczka Salt Mine, inscribed onto the World
Heritage List of UNESCO. Return to Krakow. Folk style
dinner in a typical Polish restaurant. Night in the hotel.
5TH DAY: KRAKOW / AUCHWITZ / WADOWICE / KRAKOW
Breakfast in the hotel. Departure to Auschwitz-Birkenau.
Visit to the former concentration camp. Tour of Wadowice
- birthplace of John Paul II (visit to his family home
and Basilica where he was baptized). Lunch in a restaurant
(as a dessert - kremowka - the favorite Papa's cake).
Return to Krakow. Dinner and night in Krakow.
6TH DAY: KRAKOW / ZAKOPANE / KRAKOW
Breakfast in the hotel and departure to Zakopane - the
winter capital of Poland, located in a valley at the foot
of the Tatra mountains. Guided tour of the town famous
for its wooden architecture and folklore traditions. Funicular
ride to Mt.Gubalowka. Lunch in a folk style restaurant
with tasting of local specialties. Leisure time. In the
evening - return to Krakow. Dinner and night in the hotel.
7TH DAY: KRAKOW / DEPARTURE
Breakfast in the hotel. Transfer to the airport and departure from Krakow.
