1ST DAY: ARRIVAL / KRAKOW
Arrival to the Krakow airport. Meeting with a guide
/ tour leader and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation.
Lunch in a restaurant. Guided tour of Krakow: the Wawel
Hill: the Cathedral, the Royal Castle - former residence
of Polish kings, the Market Square, the Cloth Hall (Sukiennice),
the Basilica of St. Mary (Veit Stoss' altar), Collegium
Maius (the oldest building of the Jagiellonian University),
St. Florian's gate (part of the city fortifications) and
Barbicane (an impressive fortress). Dinner and night in
2ND DAY: KRAKOW / ZAKOPANE / KRAKOW
Breakfast and departure to Zakopane - the winter capital
of Poland, located in a valley at the foot of the Tatra
mountains. Guided tour of the town famous for its wooden
architecture and folklore traditions. Funicular ride to
Mt.Gubalowka. Lunch in a folk style restaurant with tasting
of local specialties. Leisure time. In the evening - return
to Krakow. Dinner and night in the hotel.
3RD DAY: THE NATIONAL PARK OF PIENINY / CZORSZTYN / NIEDZICA
Breakfast in the hotel and departure to the National
Park of Pieniny - rafting down the Dunajec River Gorge.
During the tour you can admire a beautiful landscape of
the Pieniny mountains. Dunajec river rafting is considered
one of the major Polish tourist attractions. Lunch in
a restaurant. In the afternoon - visit to the castles
in Niedzica and Czorsztyn. Return to Krakow. Dinner and
night in the hotel.
4TH DAY: KKRAKOW / WIELICZKA / DEPARTURE
After breakfast - tour of the Wieliczka Salt Mine, inscribed
onto the World Heritage List of UNESCO. Return to Krakow.
Lunch in a restaurant. Leisure time. Transfer to the airport
and departure from Krakow.
